Similarities

Let’s see how the Dragon Touch K10 vs the Max10 are similar.

Screen and Build

The first you will notice on Dragon Touch K10 and Max10 is their enormous 10.1” screen. With further inspection, you will be enticed with their vibrant IPS displays. However, they differ on their screen resolutions which will be discussed later in this article. Lastly, both Dragon Touch tablets have solid metal constructions that give them rigidity and a premium feel.

Camera

While cameras on tablets are generally awful, some still manage to have a decent camera system. Unfortunately, that is not the case with both tablets as they only have 2MP on both the front and rear cameras. Photos and videos captured by these tablets are considered the bottom of the barrel. You can still use these tablets for video calls and conferences if you have no other choice.

Large 5000mAh Battery

Large battery capacity is needed to support tablets’ equally proportional large screen. Fortunately, both the Dragon Touch K10 and Max10 has decently sized 5000mAh battery. This can last you a long time before needing to recharge. Speaking of recharging, both tablets do not have fast charging capabilities, however. It will indeed take you a long time for a full charge.

Differences between Dragon Touch K10 vs Dragon Touch Max10

Let’s see how the Dragon Touch Max10 and the K10 differ.

Performance

Overall device performance stems from the combination of its processor, GPU, and RAM. Additionally, the screen resolution can also be accounted for a device’s performance.

Dragon Touch K10

The Dragon Touch K10 features a quad-core processor which is paired with an ARM Mali-T720. With the addition of only a 2gb of RAM capacity, the Dragon Touch K10 is indeed not a powerhouse. Furthermore, it also has a less detailed 1280 x 800 pixels resolution display. Due to the lesser pixel count, the Dragon Touch K10 still feels responsive and snappy. You can still install and play light casual games with its 16gb internal storage which is also expandable up to 128gb MicroSD card.

Dragon Touch Max10

On paper, the Dragon Touch Max10 is indeed the superior device. It comes with an octa-core processor coupled with the PowerVR GE8322 GPU. Its 1920 x 1200 pixels display is perfect for multimedia or general multitasking. However, due to its rather lacking 2gb of RAM, multitasking may push the device to its limits. On the other hand, it can manage to play more graphically intensive games. You can install games with its ample 32gb internal storage which is also expandable up to 128gb MicroSD card.

The Winner Is- Dragon Touch Max10

Android OS Version

Another striking difference between these tablets is their Android OS version. One has Android Oreo, while the other has Android Pie.

Dragon Touch K10

It is unfortunate to find out that the K10 has the older Android 8.1 Oreo installed. Although the K10 does not have the battery optimizations that Android 9.0 Pie has, the battery life on it is still roughly the same because it has a less power-hungry quad-core processor. However, one thing you should be concerned with is security. Since it is an older version of Android, the latest security patches will not come to the K10.

Dragon Touch Max10

The Dragon Touch Max comes with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. You can enjoy a long screen-on time due to Android 9.0’s battery optimizations. Moreover, you will have peace of mind that your device has the latest security patches from Google.

The Winner Is- Dragon Touch Max10

Ports

Ports on devices dictate how you can connect other devices or expand the storage of the device. Expanding the internal storage is possible on both devices because they both have TF card slots. Both also have headphone jacks.

Dragon Touch K10

To charge or connect the K10 to your PC, you need to use the outdated micro USB port. This port is irreversible which means there is a correct way of plugging a cable in. Dragon Touch also included a micro HDMI to the K10 for casting its screen on the television. If you see yourself using the micro HDMI more and have no problem using the micro USB port, the Dragon Touch K10 is for you.

Dragon Touch Max10

Unlike the micro USB port, the USB Type-C port in the Dragon Touch Max10 is reversible and more durable. Nowadays, you can see more devices that have a USB Type-C port than a micro USB. So, if you already have a device that has a Type-C port, you will be happy to use the Max10. However, it does not have a micro HDMI. Otherwise, Max10 is better overall. It is a tie because it depends on your use case.
