The Final Verdict: Tineco vs Bissell

The Tineco iFLOOR 3 vs BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro are both good options when looking for wet/dry floor cleaners. Tineco is a Chinese company that began in 2019. The customer service and after sales services have not had the best ratings with customers. However, the products appear to be robust.

BISSELL is a household name and has been around for 140 years also offer offers a 3 year warranty. Both wet/dry cleaners manage to keep the hard floors clean and dry, but the Bissell can also be used on carpeting. Unless you just can’t stand plugging appliances into the wall, then the Bissell is the better choice because it is more powerful, costs less, and is more likely to be in business 10 years from now.

Two Real People’s Opinions

TINECO IFLOOR 3 VS BISELL CROSSWAVE

George R – Erie, PA

Today we’ll be doing our Bissell Crosswave review. This is a versatile wet/dry vacuum mop that allows you to both vacuum and mop at the same time. How well does it do that? We’re gonna find out today we tested the Crosswise as a mop on tile floor spreading three different debris types across the floor and attempted to mop them up over the course of three passes.

We also tested the Bissell Crosswave as a vacuum on an engineered hardwood floor. for this test we spread four different bread types across our testing line (white, rye, wheat, pumpernickel and sourdough) and attempt to suck each them up.

Our wet mop tests included three different debris types: honey, soda, and mud. Mud posed no problem for the Crosswave. Honey required several passes to make sure the floor was not sticky, but the floor was virtually spotless after passing over it several times. The only problem in mopping soda was Ana drifted into the corners while there the cross have had trouble reaching it.

The Bissell Crosswave also has the ability to wash area rugs. Cleaning on area rugs was a bit of a mixed bag. During our tests we discovered it’s important to use the vacuum mode first to remove large chunks of dirt and other things on the surface of the carpet before getting it wet. During our tests we failed to do so, and as you can see on one side of our carpet the mud and dirt was further embedded into the carpet making a bigger mess. On the second side we vacuumed first and then did the wet wash clean which was able to then remove the finer sand without further embedding the mud and dirt deeper into the carpets.

When used as a vacuum, the Crossway performed flawlessly. Our tests included rice, kitty litter, sugar and cereal. The Crosswave wet dry vacuum is not designed to vacuum on carpets so we only tested the vacuum functions on hardwood. The design of the Bissell Crosswave is similar to other stick vacuums with some additions.

The Bissell Crosswave wet dry vacuum is 46 inches tall 12 inches wide and ten point six inches deep and weighs 11 pounds. As a wet/dry vacuum the cleaning head of the contains a multi surface roll that is able to help agitate dirt and debris.

In addition to mopping hard floors or washing area rugs there are two separate tanks on this Bissell. One is used for clean water and cleaning solution and the other is used to store the filthy water and gross stuff that is sucked up by the unit. Along the handle of this Bissell are two buttons that indicate the floor type rug or hard floor. On the handle the Bissell also has a trigger that supplies the water and cleaning solution to the wet brush ball.

The Bissell Crosswave wet dry vacuum operates as both a mop and a vacuum. when used as a vacuum the roll spins sweeping dirt and debris into the suction path of the unit. From there the suction power of the cross flip lifts the dirt and debris into the dustbin. When used as a mop the brush roll spins then the user squeezes the trigger to dispense the cleaning solution onto the brush roll which mops the floor. At the same time it applies suction like a vacuum which allows you to effectively clean messes which contain both wet and dry dirt. For example when cleaning cereal and milk the Crosswave will suck up the dry debris like a vacuum while also mopping up the liquid.

The Crosswave wet dry vacuum also includes area rug mode which works in a similar fashion to hard floor mode except four times the amount of cleaning solution is dispensed allowing the machine to clean deeper. All versions pf the machine include a multi surface brush roll used for all floor types. All versions also include a cleaning tray, washable filter and the cleaning solution which is mixed with water. The clean water tank some versions of the Crosswave include additional rolls such as for hardwood floors and area rugs.

Bissell also produces a version called the Crosswave Pet Pro specifically designed for pets and pet hair. The two major differences are the tangle free pet roll and the specially designed pet cleaning solution. When you first use the machine, you’ll see there are two cleaning modes on the handle: buttons for hard floor and area rug. These modes can be used to vacuum or wet mop your floors. To use it as a vacuum, just plug it in and choose the floor type. To use it as a mop the only additional steps are to fill the tank with water and cleaning solution then power it on and hold the trigger to prime the solution.

The swivel head is not as maneuverable as some other stick vacuums as it only is able to turn about 25 degrees. This could be an issue depending on the layout of your home but if you’re mostly using it in open spaces the maneuverability shouldn’t be an issue.

To maintain the unit you’ll need to wash and change the filter after every major cleaning session. You will also need to empty the dirty water tank and rinse it out after every use. The brush will need to be cleared of tangles and other junk which can be done with the tray.

Annual maintenance cost is around $40, including filter and brush replacements and a 64 ounce bottle of multi surface cleaning solution. However, you should be able to save some money and make your own cleaning fluid at home for about half the price.

The Bissell Crosswave is a well rounded unit that has the ability to sweep vacuum and mop at the same time. If you’re looking to knock out all of these plus wash your area rugs the Bissell cross wave could be a good addition to your home. I have lots of hard floors, so I really love it.

I recommend it if you’re looking for a versatile wet/dry vacuum on hard floor surfaces. It will vacuum up dry dirt while also mopping the floors as it moves to area rugs.

Lydia W. – Pittsburg, PA

I want to talk to you about this awesome Christmas present I just got. I just love this product and want to share it with you because it’s literally amazing and I wanted to share all of its amazing qualities with you. It is the Tenico iFloor 3. I don’t even know how to pronounce it! LOL.

It’s a cordless wet dry vacuum it’s a wet mop it’s everything that you need in your household. I want to share it with you and I will show you all the cool stuff and how I clean my house with it. Here is the beautiful Tenico iFloor 3 cordless wet dry vacuum from top to bottom.

Okay, let’s get started. To start we’re just going to take off this little top doohickey compartment here and we’re gonna open this little flap and we’re gonna put the cleaner that they provide in there. You’ll want to use about one capful of the stuff and then we’re gonna go over to the sink and we’re gonna fill the rest with water. You’re going to want to fill the compartment up to that max line. After we fill it we’re going to put this little bad boy back where it came from and this will be where the clean water stays. As we go down this is where the water will get sucked back in and this is where it’ll keep all the dirty water.

We’re gonna hit this on button and hear that beauty purr. Now I’m going to begin cleaning our little entryway area. The reason I love this product so much is that it’s a vacuum and a wet mop so it sucks up all the dirt and it mops! The typical mop just pushes the dirty water all around the house where this sucks the water back in so, all the dirty water goes back into the vacuum. I will try and get a close-up here of the nasty water entering the dirty water chamber so the floors actually are clean afterward. You can already see that disgusting water forming in the dirty water chamber and here’s another close-up of the floor getting nice and slick and beautiful.

I love how shiny it gets and for these really hard areas, there’s a max button to really kick it into turbo gear and fight those dirty stains on your floor. It is great for multi surface cleaning! Here is the beautiful floor it’s so shiny and beautiful and my feet feel amazing on this clean surface like you can literally tell a difference on your feet, especially on hard floors.

Okay, but now it’s time to empty out the dirty water chamber so we’re just gonna unhook it. You can see the filter is also really filthy we’re gonna have to take that out and clean it and let it dry. Look at all that dog hair yuck! Then we’re gonna pop off the lid and you can see all the yucky hair and dirt and everything else wet inside there that it collected so you really know it’s working. I emptied it out and rinsed it out and replaced the filter and I’m gonna put this back on.

You can see I’m struggling a little bit because I was trying to finagle with the camera and get this on at the same time but after we finally get it on there we’re going to do another wet cleaning. We’re gonna put it back on the base and we’re gonna click this little button that is the self-cleaning button right here, and then much like a dishwasher, it does its thing and it cleans itself and makes it nice and sanitary for the next time you need to clean.

Thank you for joining me I hope you like my Tenico iFloor 3. I love this product! I know it’s pricey but it’s so worth every penny when it comes to cleaning your home. I highly recommend it. Put it on your wishlist, birthday list, Christmas list, whatever. You need this product it’s so awesome it has saved me so much time and so much inconvenience. If you found this review helpful and you liked it please pay it forward by telling someone else. I hope you have a wonderful day and happy cleaning! Thank you so very much.
