Whichever model you choose, you’ll be able to enjoy professional-quality froth and a luxurious coffee experience in the comfort of your own kitchen.

As a coffee enthusiast, I’ve been using Nespresso machines for quite some time. I recently decided to upgrade my milk frother and found myself stuck between the Nespresso Aeroccino 3 & 4. After using both models extensively, I thought I’d share my experience to help others make an informed decision.

Nespresso Aeroccino 3 & 4: The Basics

The Aeroccino 3 is a good, basic milk frother that’s easy to use and does a decent job creating milk foam for your coffee. On the other hand, the Aeroccino 4 is made with some added features, making it a more advanced and versatile option.

Difference Between Nespresso Aeroccino 3 & 4

The most noticeable difference between the Aeroccino 3 & 4 is their design. The Aeroccino 3 has a non-stick Teflon interior and a simple button on the front, while the Aeroccino 4 has a sleek, stainless steel design and multiple buttons for different froth options.

Another key difference is the ease of cleaning. The Aeroccino 3 isn’t dishwasher safe, so you have to clean the frother by hand after every use. The Aeroccino 4, on the other hand, is dishwasher safe, which makes it a more convenient choice for me.

Differences Between Nespresso Aeroccino 3 and Aeroccino 4 in Performance

As I mentioned earlier, the Aeroccino 3 is a good, basic milk frother that creates milk foam for your coffee. However, I noticed that the milk foam it produced wasn’t as consistent in texture as I would have liked. It was especially noticeable when I used whole cow milk or tried to create a specific type of milk froth for a cappuccino.

The Aeroccino 4, on the other hand, is an excellent milk frother for creating countless milk-based beverages. It has more froth options, which allowed me to customize the milk foam to my liking. I also appreciated the hot milk or cold milk settings, giving me the flexibility to create both hot and cold drinks.

Dishwasher safe

Using the Aeroccino 3 is fairly straightforward. Simply pour in the milk, press the button, and the frother will create milk foam. The Aeroccino 4 is just as easy to use, but with added versatility. The multiple buttons let you choose between different froth settings and hot or cold milk options.

In terms of performance, I found the Aeroccino 4 to be the better option. It consistently produced excellent milk foam, regardless of the milk type I used. The additional froth settings also allowed me to create a wide variety of coffee drinks, from lattes to cappuccinos and even iced beverages.

Conclusion: Aeroccino 3 vs Aeroccino 4

After using both the Nespresso Aeroccino 3 & 4, I can confidently say that the Aeroccino 4 wins in terms of design, functionality, and performance. While the Aeroccino 3 is a decent option for those looking for a basic milk frother, the added features and better performance of the Aeroccino 4 make it the clear winner in this comparison.

The Final Verdict

Based on their differences, the Nespresso Aeroccino 4 dominates the Aeroccino 3. The Aeroccino 4 brings a lot of improvements over its predecessor. However, the question now is, “Is it worth it?” For it being dishwasher safe and better ceramic coating, personally, it is worth every penny. It is a perfect morning gadget for every morning person out there. If you get the Aeroccino 4 on sale, grab one for yourself immediately.

Owners Opinions

Aerocinno 3 vs 4

Hi everyone! So I know a lot of you been wanting to see this video for a while where we compare the aeroccino 3 with the aeroccino 4 and the barista maker just to show the differences between the machines because the aeroccino 3 comes free with a lot of machines doesn’t it or you pay for it but it comes with the machines. The aeroccino 4 is 10 pounds more if you buy it individually so is it worth the upgrade? And the barista maker is at 179 pounds and is it a frother what does it do? When I first looked at it I didn’t have a clue really, I thought what makes it 179 pounds worth of a machine? And now I’ve been using it a little bit I can see what the difference is but whether you think it’s worth it well hopefully this video should explain it but it’s not going to be the easiest because we’re going to do our best and to try and do things at the right time but even though I’m going to try and show you how they work.

So we’ll start off with the buttons and the springs. So this is the aeroccino 3 the button is on the front and it comes with a set it has two settings on it, cold milk and hot froth milk, well cold frothed milk and hot frothed milk but on the inside it has a spring and you can remove the spring so he doesn’t froth the milk you just heats it up, so that’s the aeroccino 3, like I say on the front if we have a look as a button and you’ll turn it on and that’s what it does the buttons are on the front not dishwasher safe that’s another thing to mention not dishwasher safe the aeroccino 4, that has four settings on it similar to the aeroccino 3 in some ways with these three because he has cold milk cold froth milk just hot milk like steamed milk sort of texture and and then a froth hot milk and but it also has an extra froth button which is actually really good I use that every day pretty much because I love it but inside there’s a spring exactly like the aeroccino three but you never take that off with the aeroccino4 it always stays in, so if you just want steamed milk you don’t have to faff about taking the spring off all the time, now the recipe maker yeah that’s dishwasher sorry yeah the top part of this (my wife’s just reminded me) to say is dishwasher-safe the base isn’t as far as I’m aware so that’s the difference between those ten pound difference, then we move on to the big 179 pounds machine, that if you turn it on we could just see, if I turn it on (we’ve moved all plugs around to put the machines in) that has 13 different recipes stored on it and this is where it comes into its own this.

Froth Options

It does have a hot milk recipe but to be honest you can put as much milk as you like in, it doesn’t froth it up very much it’s more hot what it says hot milk there’s a babyccino one where it froths it it a little bit, but you’re only supposed to pour I think 100ml of milk in, so it only comes out about that high and the recipe glass you can see and we’re going to be using the recipe glass to make and Latte Macchiato if I can find that and that’s the plan to show you the difference between the three in a minute is we’re going to make a latte macchiato with all three to show you the difference but what I’m also going to do afterwards is make,
Your decision, you can do that, but do stick around just to see what it does with the mocha and also to see if this whips up skim milk well when on the extra froth setting. I’m wondering whether the Aeroccino 3 one came out so well because this is brand new. It’s never been used, and I’m pretty impressed with that, so maybe the springs are a bit temperamental on them. I know a commenter did mention actually that when he takes his spring in and out, sometimes he finds he has to put it back in exactly the right spot for it to work properly, which is obviously a bonus. I’ve never taken the spring off this one, the Aeroccino 3, but it’s a bonus for the Aeroccino 4 if you don’t have to remove that spring as much, obviously for cleaning now and then to make sure it’s looking right. So we’re going to come in and pour this now, this is the milk from the Barista Maker to make a Latte macchiato. Then we can see really a huge difference there, I think, in foam, but what I would say about the foam is that it’s a different sort of foam. I’ve found it’s a finer foam, it does seem to be nicely consistent throughout the drink, especially on flat whites and mochas, and it’s just got a nice foam. But, as you can see, it isn’t as thick, and I’ve never actually come across it as thick when we’ve been using semi-skimmed milk. You see a massive difference there, I think, although the video isn’t perfect. I hope that’s captured the differences between the latte macchiato on the three devices. Now, what I’m going to do is just pause a second, and we’re going to go away, and I’m going to make sure this mocha viennois setting is on the Barista Maker, and we’ll be back to make that in a second.

Milk frothing

Right, so we’re back now to make a mocha viennois, but before we do, we just wanted to show that the handle comes out with the Barista Maker, and the lid comes off. This part of it is all dishwasher safe. Obviously, the base isn’t, but you know you never wash the base anyway, and there’s a whisk inside of it which isn’t magnetic. A can’t remember whether we said this already but isn’t magnetic when the base is in (or out sorry) but when it’s in, it becomes magnetic. So that means that when you take it out to pour your drink, you have to either take the whisk out or put your finger on top to stop the whisk falling out. So let’s make a mocha viennois now, and the reason we couldn’t find it is because it was actually a different setting. And it has two stages to it, step one and step two. So we’re having to do this again now, we’re making this for a second time because we actually forgot to put the coffee in, and so that’s why everything is set up differently, but we’re using four chocolates, four dark chocolate squares from Nespresso.

You put those in with 100 ml of milk. If we just have a look from the top, this is step one of making the coffee viennois, it’s actually called the chocolate viennois for the machine, so four of these chocolates, while we’re doing that, I’ll say again, it was interesting how well the Aeroccino performed.
Hey guys recently if you follow us on our channel you’ll notice I did an unboxing of this aeroccino 4. I’d wanted it for a while and I wanted to upgrade and I finally got around to doing it to show you users. But I don’t like reviewing things – I don’t mind unboxing them – but I don’t like reviewing things without trying them first and using them a bit. So now I’ve used it for a few weeks I thought I’d just do a quick review just to tell you what I think about it and whether I think it was worth the money. So firstly how much did it cost? Well it was £60 as an individual unit, it didn’t come with the machine. So obviously if you’ve got a Nespresso machine already and it’s come with an aeroccino 3 then you might not know that it actually costs £50 to buy that new whereas it’s £60 to buy this. I can’t really do a review of the aeroccino4 without comparing it to the aeroccino3 because obviously it’s £10 more. So, what are the differences?

Well the first difference is that this one is dishwasher safe the aeroccino4 is dishwasher safe and the aeroccino 3 wasn’t. A second difference, there’s a lip on the front of it here to make pouring easier for the user and that does make pouring a lot easier and also it’s got a nice handle on it, but don’t worry because you might think it’s got a handle because this outside bit might get really hot the metal it doesn’t, it’s more like a sort of a flask you can feel a little bit of heat through but not too much, so don’t worry about that. So differences from the aeroccino 3, with the aeroccino 3 there were only three milk settings on it you could hold the button down for cold milk, you could press the button for frothed milk or you could remove the spring inside for milk with less froth or no froth with this one the spring inside stays in at all times, so you don’t have to worry about taking it off to be able to do non frothed milk, so that’s a big bonus with the aeroccino4 and it’s got four different milk settings with this one. It’s got a cold milk, a warm milk, frothed milk and then an extra frothed milk.

I’ll just turn it on now. So as you can see it has a blue light for the cold milk so you can’t get mixed up and three other different milk settings. So what are the other differences? What else makes this better than the aeroccino three? Well first is just the amount of froth you get. At the end of this video, I’m going to put a bit of milk through and show you how frothy it gets because with my aeroccino 3 if you noticed on past videos that I’ve done, I like to use whole milk because I found that semi skimmed didn’t get quite as frothy as I liked it to, but now with the semi skimmed milk now I find that it’s absolutely fine, so it shows that the froth it is better in this one. Other users may differ. Also another big difference is heat with the aeroccino 3 I used to run water a bit of water through first to heat the metal up inside before I actually put the milk in, with this one I don’t need to.
