Differences Between The A2500 and A3500

Before we look at how similar the Vitamix A2500 and Vitamix A3500 are, let’s take a look at all the differences between them and which blender gives better value for money.

Programs

Both blenders come with preset programs. However, the Vitamix A2500 Ascent has only three, specifically for Hot Soups, Frozen Desserts, and Smoothies. On the other hand, the A3500 offers two additional ones besides those three. They are programs for Dips and Spreads, and Self-Cleaning. What’s even better with the Vitamix A3500 Ascent Series blender is that you can connect it with the official Vitamix Perfect Blend App. By doing this, you will unlock 17 programs with more than 500 recipes. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

Touch Screen

Unlike the Vitamix A2500 blender, the A3500 comes with a touchscreen. You can control the blender and choose programs with your fingers. This feature provides faster usage as well as a more modern look. The touch screen is easy to clean. All you need is a rag to wipe the screen. As for the A2500, it comes with buttons and a dial for setting your blender speed and the program you want.

Colors

Luckily for you, both blenders come in different color options. Nevertheless, the A3500 has slightly more, six, to be exact, compared to A2500, which only has four. What’s cool about A3500 is that it comes with two finishes in stainless metal. It’s your choice whether you want the black one or brushed stainless metal finish.

Timer

Obviously, these blenders come with a timer. Nevertheless, the newer model, A3500, gives you more freedom. It comes with a programmable timer, unlike the previous model, which has a built-in timer. What is great with a programmable timer is setting your own time for the desired program. After the specified time, the blender will automatically stop. This feature enables you to make each recipe to your liking.

Value for Money

Without a doubt, the Vitamix blenders are staples that you must own some time in your life, especially if you like to cook, drink smoothies or make frozen desserts. However, splurging so quickly a few hundred dollars is not easy. With that in mind, let’s see what’s the real value for money in case you decide to purchase.

Vitamix A2500

Found on the lower price side, the A2500 is more affordable. However, a lower price means fewer features that come with the product. But if you’re not too demanding or picky, this is the product for you.

Vitamix A3500

The price for this one is set a bit higher, but it is a newer model than A2500 and comes with a more modern design and more features. If you want the full package, then this is the blender for you. Also, you get a long-lasting warranty, so you have nothing to be worried about.

Similarities

There are certain things that these blenders have in common. Before the pros and cons section, and the final opinion on which blender is better, let’s take a look at the similarities between the Vitamix A2500 and the Vitamix A3500.

Speed Settings

Each blender gives you the option of choosing between the speed with which you want to blend your ingredients. Moreover, the pulse feature lets you further personalize your recipe. Both the A2500 and A3500 have ten variable speed settings.

Container Size

Right out of the box, you will get a big 64-oz container with both Vitamix blenders. They are designed to ensure better blending and mixing of ingredients. Plus, the design ensures the mix returns to the blades for even blending.

If you don’t need to use such a big container every time, you can buy additional smaller ones. Thanks to the Self-Detect TechnologyTM, the motor recognizes the container size and adjust each program to it.

Wireless Connectivity

The aforementioned Self-Detect TechnologyTM works thanks to the built-in wireless connectivity both A2500 and A3500 come with. Each container has an NFC chip in it enabling the container to connect to the motor to adjust the speed and program to the container size. Additionally, the blenders have Bluetooth technology as well.

Warranty

Since you are ready to spend money on these products, Vitamix offers a 10-year warranty. Not only will you get a fantastic blender, but you will also be secured if it breaks down.

Self-Cleaning

What’s great about the Vitamix blenders is that they can be self-cleaned. This means you can add a bit of warm water and dish soap to the container, turn it on at the highest speed and watch as it self-cleans in a matter of seconds. Even better, they are dishwasher safe.

What Real People Say About Their Ninja

Ann B – Skylar, WI

Hey guys, I’m Skylar and I wanted to show you guys an in-depth look at the Vitamix. Now, the one that I have here is from the Ascent series, this is the A3500. In this video, I want to show you guys three things: an up-close look at the A3500, a tour of the website, and how to pick the right Vitamix for you. Because there is a Vitamix for everyone, I really believe that. And the third thing I want to show you guys is a delicious, easy recipe made with my Vitamix.

Both Items Get Great Reviews and Belong on a Wedding Registry

Now, I want to start by saying this video was not at all sponsored. Again, I like to show you guys, from time to time, a review of the things that I’m into, the things that I’m using, and the things that I love, and this is one of the things that I absolutely love.
Believe it or not, I have tried so many blenders in my life. I love to cook. I know that there are so many blenders out there, from the Nutribullet, the KitchenAid, a lot of the big players, the Ninja. There are so many great blenders out there, and people tend to look at the Vitamix as the holy grail of sorts of blenders, and in a lot of ways, it is. Now that I have one, I totally understand. The Vitamix is so powerful. It is the most powerful, versatile blender I have ever used. That being said, does everyone need a Vitamix? No, if you’re not using your blender every single day, if you don’t need your blender to perform high-powered tasks, any blender should work. But I want to say that having spent as much money as I have on trying different blenders, the KitchenAid blender I was using was a hundred and fifty dollars. You can get a Vitamix for $250. I think that for the money, if you’re going to dish out any amount of money, if you’re going to spend money on something that you want to work and last a long time, I love Vitamix because they have a 10-year warranty on their products. That covers parts, labor, and the shipping. They’ll ship it to themselves and then back to you. So, I really think that this is a great company. They stand behind their products, and they are built to work. This blender has never disappointed. There has been nothing that it hasn’t been able to chop, so I’m so excited to show you a lot of what it can do today.

Buy Ice Without Fear

Now, the first thing I want to show you is this blender. Okay, this is the A3500. This blender retails for $649. That is a ton of money. Over $600 for a blender is a ton of money. But if this blender lasts me even seven years, that’s under $100 a year, and this blender is made to last for way more than seven years. This blender, I believe, can last so long. I’ve seen people with Vitamixes that are 10 years old or more. So, the Vitamix is an incredibly powerful machine. The first thing I want to show you guys is how it comes out of the box. Now, no one tells you all of the features but the main difference in specifications is the screen and the dials are going to be the main difference between blenders. They’re all very high-powered gray ponders to buy and you can see with any of the ascent series blenders they come with optional additional containers.

That’s why I bought the ascent series because with any lender you buy in the ascent series which is any of the a blenders you’re going to get the option to add additional accessories which would be a single serve cup or the little tiny cups here. The tiny cups here would be amazing to make small amounts of things like hummus or ranch dressing. You can buy all these additional series to use with your ascent series blender and all has this self-detect technology which means that the base is going to detect whatever item you’re using. You don’t have to change the settings at all which is something that Vitamix is all about is having the settings being as simple as possible. You click smart system blenders in the all blenders section, you can compare the models so they run from $399 all the way up to $549. Right now on most days, they go from $469 to $649 depending on the color that you choose with the 3500 but right here is the comparison chart to compare all the ascent series blenders. You can see they all have different dials and that’s pretty much the main differentiator between all these blenders. So you can see this just has the most basic popping up to a little bit more advanced there’s three programmable settings. Now it gets even more advanced with the touch start/stop and the touch pulse programmable timer and then the most advanced with 3500 has the five programmable settings, the one to ten speed dial touch pulse and of course, the self-detect technology that they all share.

In the classic blender section, this Professional Series 750 is also pretty pricey and then there’s the 780 which is the most pricey. This one, let’s see, it’s usually $719. It has a full touchscreen panel, pre-programmed settings, just like the ascent series 3500. It has a low profile container so this container has the rubberized lid and it has a skinnier nozzle here but to me, this is all really aesthetic in my opinion. All the Vitamixes are very powerful so it really just depends on the settings that you want and the look that you’re going for.
When making a smoothie, it is important to use frozen fruits or vegetables because it’s going to make your smoothie thick and creamy. Frozen bananas are best. Next, add three dates, a tablespoon of flaxseed, a tablespoon of maca powder, and a tablespoon of protein powder. Lastly, add fresh ground peanut butter. Use the Vitamix blender to blend for at least a minute for optimum nutrient extraction. The Vitamix is a powerful blender that can handle any ingredients put in it. It has never gotten stuck or stalled, unlike other blenders

So first of all, we’ve had it for two years. He said that. That means I have, or we have used it, conservatively, like 700 ish times. That means we’ve made, cashew queso, detox salad, and peanut butter, acai bowls, green juice, caramel, ice cream, tomato soup, artichoke dip, what else have we made? Salsa! We make our batters, so banana bread. At this point, I can honestly say we can’t live without our Vitamix. Any Vitamix would do for our lifestyle. Any Vitamix makes hot soups, nut butters, frozen desserts, dressings. We could get away with any other Vitamix on our counter. But this one has all the bells and whistles and that’s, kind of, what we love about it. I like that it’s the quietest model. We use it many times a day and so that makes a difference. And it looks awesome in our kitchen. And I really would miss the timer. I watch that timer. I set that timer. It helps me multitask in the kitchen. And then 8-ounce. I didn’t think I would use it that much, but we really do. I use, all of my dressings I make in there. Otherwise you end up having to make quite a bit of dressing. Balsamic vinaigrette, our Caesar, our ranch dressing all in the 8-oz. I made all of our baby food for our kid in there. Steamed a bunch of veggies and used the 8-ounce because I wasn’t sure if he was going to like anything so I wanted to make a small amount. And then also we make our peanut sauce in there for our spring rolls. And that is an awesome use of that 8-oz container. So I’m going to make Lenny add this to his video because I don’t feel like he was excited enough about the A3500 and I am. I am really the one that uses it the most in the kitchen.

Here’s what I know: The touch buttons, touch on/off, pulse, are really good. They haven’t been anything but responsive and surprisingly durable. They even respond if there’s a drop of water on there. And that goes for program buttons as well as the plus and minus so increase the count and decrease the count. And that also makes the front of the A3500 pretty easy to clean. It’s just kind of one swipe especially if you compare it to its predecessor the Pro 750 there’s more cracks and crevices in between the switches. So really easy to clean. The only thing I would say is for demonstration purposes if you’re using this thing backwards, if you have it in front of you like this, and you’re doing this, it’s a little tougher to do than just, kind of, pulling the switches. So if you’ve seen any of our videos, and it’s like, ugh, it doesn’t really work, well that’s because there’s nothing to feel. So this is not good if you have any visual impairment. If you’re an individual with visual disabilities this is not a good fit for you. Like on a keyboard where there’s a little scratch so you know where the D or the K is, I think, none of that here.
