Similarities
Let’s take a look at the similarities between these Android TV boxes.
Android TV OS Version
Android 9.0 Pie for Android TV is relatively new. Luckily, both the Pendoo X6 PRO and the X10 MAX has Android 9.0 out of the box. Android 9.0 Pie brings the Google Play Store to smart TVs. Thus, you can get all the top apps and games right on your TV. With this, you can stream movies from Netflix, watch videos from YouTube, or listen to music with the Spotify app. Discover all the 5000+ apps from the Google Play.
Available RAM
RAM is an important aspect of any computer. More RAM means more apps that you can use at the same time. The RAM capacity in both the X6 PRO and X10 MAX is 4gb of DDR3 memory. This is plenty enough for a typical everyday usage.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are present in both the Pendoo X6 PRO and X10 MAX. Both support wireless AC connectivity which means you can connect to the faster and more reliable 5GHz Wi-Fi. If you need to connect via LAN Cable, you can also do so since both have ethernet ports. Lastly, both support Bluetooth 4.2 which is faster, more secure, and more power-efficient than previous models. You can easily connect your wireless devices like keyboard, mouse, gamepad, or speakers with Bluetooth 4.2.
Differences between Pendoo X6 PRO vs X10 MAX
We will now explore all the differences between the Pendoo X6 PRO and the Pendoo X10 MAX. Also, we will single out a model that is better in feature where they differ.
Processor
The processor of a device is the main indicator of its performance. Although both the X6 PRO and the X10 MAX are equipped with quad-core processors, their processors were made by different manufacturers.
Pendoo X6 PRO
The processor in the Pendoo X6 PRO is made by Allwinner. The X6 PRO is equipped with a quad-core Cortex A53 Allwinner H6 chip which can reach a frequency of 1.8GHz. Due to this higher frequency compared to the X10 Max’s, the X6 PRO performs better overall.
Pendoo X10 MAX
On the other hand, the Pendoo X10 MAX is equipped with the quad-core Rockchip RK3318 chip. While the Rockchip processor is also a quad-core Cortex A53 processor, it can only reach the frequency of 1.5GHz. This translates to worse performance than the X6 PRO.
The Winner Is- Pendoo X6 PRO
GPU
In addition to their different processors, their GPUs are also different. Both GPUs are from ARM but are different models.
Pendoo X6 PRO
The Mali T720 MP2 in the X6 PRO has two cores that can reach frequencies up to 600MHz. This newer and better Mali T720 MP2 graphics processor will perform better in games.
Pendoo X10 MAX
In contrast, the X10 MAX is equipped with the dated ARM Mali-450MP2. Due to this exact reason, the X10 MAX will perform worse in games. However, with normal usage, the X10 MAX’s performance will still feel snappy and fast.
The Winner Is- Pendoo X6 PRO
Internal Storage Capacity
Installing many apps on both the Pendoo X6 PRO and X10 MAX is easy due to their large internal storage capacities. However, one of these devices has a larger capacity than the other. Note that there are also other RAM/Internal Storage configurations available for both devices.
Pendoo X6 PRO
Out of the box, you can utilize Pendoo X6 PRO’s 32gb of internal storage. This will be plentiful enough for people who wish to use this only as Netflix/YouTube streaming device. If you feel the X6 has small internal storage, you can add more storage by inserting up to 64gb of MicroSD card storage to its TF card slot.
Pendoo X10 MAX
The Pendoo X10 MAX has twice the capacity the X6 PRO has. With 64gb of internal storage capacity, you can install more apps and games in the X10 MAX. Moreover, it also has support for a higher capacity 128gb MicroSD card.
The Winner Is- Pendoo X10 MAX
Ports
More ports mean more devices it can connect to. The HDMI port, Ethernet port, TF card slot, and one USB 3.0 are the only ports that are similar in both devices.
Pendoo X6 PRO
Compared to the X10 MAX, the X6 PRO has an extra USB 2.0 port. This port can be used for expanding its internal memory with either a flash drive or an external hard drive (up to 4TB).
Pendoo X10 MAX
Even though the X10 MAX lacks one less USB 2.0 port, it has S/PDIF which is used to connect to audio equipment, and an AV port to accommodate older televisions.
